After a couple months of working together we decided that we needed an outlet to share our collaborative efforts, ideas, and lessons. And so Teachers That Talk was born.
Collaboration and support is a must in education between the general and special education populations the addition of Speech therapy services and counseling services in the general education classroom have proven effective over the course of the school year as well.
With a focus on social pragmatics with a good majority of our special education students, the Speech Therapist and Counselor got together to create classroom social skills lessons for a whole class along with small group social skills lessons focusing on refining pragmatic skills in our older students.
